In the knowledge-based world, the P’s in Marketing have been replaced or re-written as the C’s. So why has this changed? According to Bob Lauterborn, professor at the University of North Carolina, 80% of new products fail each year. 80%....that seems very high. Employees care about their work when they know their company cares about them! You cannot force your employees to care. If they don't care about hitting their goals, you can put them on probation and fire them one after the other, but it won't help.
