After an enjoyable break over Christmas, 2016 is well and truly here.  JWG has started the new year off with new projects at Bailie Henderson Hospital, Banana Shire Flood Recovery Works and we are also currently putting the finishing touches on some of our major projects from 2015. JWG is looking forward to a very busy and exciting year for South East Queensland with major development works continuing throughout the Toowoomba region.

I believe 2016 will be an enjoyable year at Joe Wagner Group and I look forward to continuing business  with you throughout the year.

Skills and reliability sets JWG apart..
Our crew has been installing conduits for a power network upgrade at Bailie Henderson Hospital. The Hospital has over 100 years of history at this site so many of the services were not shown on service plans or Dial Before You Dig.

JWG utilised service locators with ground
penetrating radar and vacuum excavation to locate as many services as possible, however even with this very high level of precaution a number of unknown services were identified. Our extremely experienced operators have done an outstanding job of excavating in this challenging environment.

While most of us enjoyed a good break over
Christmas two of Joe Wagner Group’s multi
skilled operators Peter White and Scott
‘Scooter’ Talbot showed their commitment
to our customers.

Pete helped JF Hull with a very large rail
shut down for a full rail bridge replacement
at the South Pine River over Christmas.

Scooter worked some long days from the
24th – 30th of December assisting Ergon to
restore power to almost 8000 homes after a
severe storm passed through Cecil Plains,
Dalby and Bowenville. Scooter used a JWG
24t excavator to build access tracks to
remote poles, recover bogged Ergon service trucks, stand power poles and pull new wires.

Thanks very much and well done Pete and Scooter!

JWG Management System passes with flying colours!
Joe Wagner Group’s Integrated Management System is certified to the relevant Quality (ISO9001:2008), Safety (AS4801:2001) and Environmental (ISO14001:2004) standards.  Our high standards and compliance documentation help us to make our clients’ jobs easier, safer and more efficient.

SciQual provide JWG’s third party certification and conducted a full re-certification audit in December
2015.  We are very pleased to have passed this audit with no non-conformances raised.  This outstanding result is testament to the active implementation of the system throughout the year by all JWG team members and is a particular credit to those who manage the system.

Nick enjoys watching the boys play and believes the club shares similar values to the JWG 4 Pillars Program; Pride, Support, Lifestyle and Value.

Good luck Brothers, we’re confident 2016 will be a good year for the club.

Did You Know?
Skanska is one of the largest construction and development companies in the USA, and they have proved their capability with the construction a revolutionary aquarium in Miami.

Skanska were engaged to construct the US $101
million Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of
Science, this project included a 1.9 ML aquarium
with a 30ft acrylic viewing lens that is up to 500mm
thick!

The 950 m3 of concrete was required to be placed in a single 25 hour controlled pour to ensure that there were no construction joins or seams that would potentially cause leaks after construction.

this project and a time lapse of the concrete pour.
